While working in both a bookstore and a library, I saw firsthand the barriers people face when trying to access books. At the bookstore, customers often mentioned how difficult it was to get there and the expense of buying new books. At the library, we noticed many patrons accumulating fines simply because they didn't finish their books quickly enough or struggled to return them on time.

We're working to bridge that gap—making books more accessible while also encouraging shopping locally and supporting our Erie County community.
